Our spectacular seaside campus is situated in the safe and friendly town of Montgat, just 20 minutes from the historic heart of Barcelona. To serve our families, we operate 9 bus routes throughout Barcelona and Maresme that provide students with convenient transportation to and from our campus.

Our curricula
At Hamelin-Laie, we combine the best of the Spanish National Curriculum with the International Curriculum Association (ICA) framework to create a unique trilingual environment that will nurture your child’s academic and personal growth. While our students primarily learn in English, they also develop their skills in Spanish and Catalan, as well as choosing to study a fourth language.
With world-class teachers and tailored support, our students consistently achieve outstanding results in both the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and the National Baccalaureate (Bachillerato Nacional). Both of these prestigious qualifications open doors to top-tier universities worldwide.
EARLY YEARS
From the earliest years, our students benefit from the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC), which focuses on play-based, inquiry-led learning that nurtures curiosity, independence and love of discovery.
PRIMARY
Our Primary students follow the Spanish National Curriculum while integrating it with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC). Students learn in a stimulating, multilingual environment that nurtures open and curious minds.

Our Secondary students follow the Spanish National Curriculum under the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) framework and they move on to our Pre‑Baccalaureate Programme, preparing them for the next stage of their education. Learning is structured around thematic, cross-curricular units that develop critical thinking, global awareness, and deeper understanding.
IB Diploma or National Baccalaureate
Our students choose to either study the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), which opens doors to universities worldwide, or the National Baccalaureate (Bachillerato Nacional), which prepares them for success at Spanish universities and beyond.

- What languages do you teach in?
- Our students benefit from a trilingual learning experience, with English as the main language of instruction. Spanish and Catalan are also embedded into the curriculum. From primary school, our students have the choice of learning a fourth language.
- What extracurricular activities do you offer?
- We run a diverse extracurricular programme, which includes activities in sports, dance, art and theatre, technology, robotics, and languages.
- Do you have a bus service?
- Yes, we offer several bus routes throughout Barcelona and Maresme, both to and from our school.
- Do you provide pre- and after-school childcare?
- Yes, our onsite team provides before and after-school care for our younger learners, Monday to Friday. Please note that there is an additional charge for this service.
- Do you offer boarding?
- Yes, boarding is available for students aged 14 to 18. Our safe, comfortable and vibrant community is like a family, where students receive 24/7 care, support and attention.
- Do you provide lunch?
- Yes, our in-house catering team serves tasty, nutritious lunches for students and staff. This is included in the school fees for students in early years to lower secondary (4th ESO), as well as our boarders. For our IBDP and National Baccalaureate students, lunch is optional and can be purchased.
- Do your students wear a uniform?
- From the early years through to lower secondary, our students wear a smart and comfortable uniform, which instils a sense of belonging and pride. Uniforms can be purchased at our school shop. Our IBDP and National Baccalaureate students are allowed to dress as they wish.
- Can my child join Hamelin-Laie at any time?
- Yes, we accept applications all year round, and your child can start at any time.
