Proven learning approach: Our Early Years curriculum takes a play-based approach to cultivate a love of learning from an early age. We nurture children’s emotional and physical growth in a multilingual environment, with 90% of instruction in English for ages 3 to 5.
Based on the Spanish National Curriculum, our international Early Years programme is designed to build a strong foundation for your child’s future academic and personal growth. At Hamelin-Laie, our Early Years curriculum is divided into two stages. In the first stage, for ages 1 to 3, children are encouraged to develop emotionally and physically through stimulating games and activities. During this stage, half of their instruction is in English, while the other half is split between Spanish and Catalan.
In the second stage, for ages 3 to 5, our Early Years learners discover and explore primarily in English, with 90% of their instruction in this language, and the remaining 10% in Spanish and Catalan. Our curriculum introduces reading from an early age, as well as other engaging intellectual challenges, while also incorporating physical activities to develop fine motor and coordination skills.
With our caring teachers, play-based learning approach and progressive English immersion, your child will be ready to thrive in primary school and beyond. Questions about our teaching approach? Schedule a meeting with our academic team.
