On 21 May, Hamelin Laie International School Barcelona proudly celebrated one of the most meaningful moments in the academic year: the graduation of the Class of 2026.
It was a day filled with pride, emotion, and reflection as students, families, and teachers came together to honour a remarkable group of young people ready to begin the next chapter of their journeys.
As our Baccalaureate graduates crossed the stage, the atmosphere was filled with applause, smiles, and a shared sense of achievement. Over the years, these students have grown not only academically, but also as confident, compassionate, and internationally minded individuals. Through dedication, perseverance, and the strong relationships built within our community, they leave Hamelin prepared to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
Throughout their time at Hamelin, the Class of 2026 has embraced opportunities both inside and beyond the classroom, developing the curiosity, resilience, and global perspective that will guide them far beyond school life.
In her moving address, our Principal, Sarah Osborne-James, reminded us of the world our graduates are stepping into: one that is rapidly evolving, increasingly connected, and profoundly influenced by technology and artificial intelligence. Yet, her message centred on something far more enduring: the importance of human connection.
Her words captured the spirit of a Hamelin education: preparing students not only for academic success, but also to make a meaningful and positive contribution to the world around them.

One of the most memorable moments of the ceremony came as each graduate was welcomed onto the stage to receive their diploma, surrounded by the support and applause of families, teachers, and friends who have accompanied them throughout their journey.
The celebration also recognised the Honourable Mentions, acknowledging students whose exceptional achievements, commitment, and contribution to school life have left a lasting impact on the Hamelin community.

Graduation was also an opportunity to recognise the essential role played by families, teachers, and the wider school community. Their encouragement, trust, and dedication have helped shape the experiences and achievements of every student standing on that stage.
At Hamelin, learning is built on strong relationships, personalised support, and a shared commitment to helping every student grow with confidence and purpose.

As we celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2026, we also look to the future with excitement and optimism. We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved and confident they will continue to make a positive difference wherever life takes them.
To our graduates: wherever your next chapter begins, you will always remain part of the Hamelin community.
Congratulations, Class of 2026. We will miss you, and we will always be proud of you.
