We’re delighted to share the outstanding results and memorable moments from this year’s U14 NAGGE Sports Tournament in Budapest. Competing alongside seven European schools hosted by BISB, our Hamelin-Laie athletes shone both on and off the court. From exciting matches to excellent sportsmanship, our students represented the school with pride, determination, and strong team spirit throughout the entire trip.
Basketball: 4th place
Football: 3rd place
Our boys delivered strong performances in both disciplines, demonstrating resilience, focus, and competitive spirit. They came very close to reaching the basketball final, narrowly missing out by just two points in a thrilling semi-final. In football, their energy and teamwork kept them firmly in contention until the final matches. An impressive effort across both sports.
Basketball: 1st place
Football: 3rd place
The girls’ teams were outstanding across the tournament. The basketball squad claimed a well-deserved first place, showing excellent skill, determination, and cohesion in every match. The football team also performed strongly, finishing third after two days of focused and high intensity play. These results reflect the girls’ commitment, preparation, and passion for the game.

BEYOND THE SCOREBOARD
While the sporting results were impressive, the experience offered much more than competition alone. Our students displayed exemplary behaviour, supported one another throughout, and made the most of this exciting international opportunity. From building friendships with students from other European schools to proudly representing Hamelin-Laie abroad, the spirit and values shown were truly memorable.
We congratulate all our student athletes for their achievements, teamwork, and positive attitude throughout the tournament.
We also extend a special thank you to our PE team. Their commitment, guidance, and enthusiasm continue to inspire our students and ensure that every sporting event is both a meaningful learning experience and an opportunity for personal growth.
Another energising and successful NAGGE event. Well done to everyone involved!
