Proud of our Class of 2026: Excellent Academic Results

Hamelin-Laie students are celebrating another year of outstanding academic achievement, with excellent results in both the PAU examinations and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme.
These results reflect the high-quality teaching, personalised support and individual guidance that students receive at Hamelin-Laie. Whether they follow the National Baccalaureate or the IB Diploma Programme, our graduates leave school well prepared for leading universities in Spain and around the world, with the confidence and skills to succeed in the next stage of their education.

National Baccalaureate PAU Results
Of the 31 students entered, 97% successfully achieved the qualification. The cohort earned an average university access mark of 7.48 out of 10 and an average university admission mark of 11.01 out of 14.
The highest admission score was 12.05 out of 14, while students also achieved exceptional subject results across a wide range of disciplines, including a perfect 10 in Philosophy and scores of 9.5 in Spanish, English, Physics and Technical Drawing.

"It has been a pleasure to see our students' hard work rewarded with another exceptional set of examination results this year. The data speaks for itself. Our National Baccalaureate results remain consistently strong, providing students with access to leading universities across Catalonia, Spain and around the world."
IB Diploma Results
The Class of 2026 also achieved excellent results in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).
Of the 75 students who completed the programme, 93% were awarded the IB Diploma, an increase of eight percentage points on last year's preliminary results.
Students achieved an average score of 31.0 points, exceeding the current global IB average of 30.88 points and demonstrating the continued strength of our IB programme. The highest score was an impressive 43 points out of 45.
As Mr Halliwell commented:
"We are proud of our IB Diploma students, who have built on last year's success with a further increase in Diplomas awarded and a 1.2-point rise in the average score."

Opening doors to the future
These achievements are opening doors to leading universities around the world, with many students receiving offers from their first-choice institutions.
Confirmed destinations include University College London, the University of Edinburgh, Cornell University, the University of Amsterdam, Copenhagen Business School, ESADE, IE University, Universitat Pompeu Fabra and the University of Navarra, alongside many other highly regarded universities across Europe, North America and beyond.
These outcomes reflect our students' determination and commitment, supported throughout their journey by the expertise of our staff and the encouragement of their families.
